Ultherapy - Clearwater, FL

If you have been troubled by loose or sagging facial skin but are not ready for surgery, Ultherapy can help.

We are one of the first practices in the area to offer the exciting new Ultherapy, non-surgical lifting procedure performed with time tested, safe, ultrasound technology. Ultherapy gradually tightens and tones your skin from deep within the skins collagen.

Ultherapy treatments take less than an hour – and have NO DOWNTIME.  When the treatment is finished,  you’ll be well on your way to tighter, firmer, better-fitting skin.

What 's different about Ultherapy?

It uses ultrasound imaging which has received FDA clearance and enables the doctor to actually see the layers of your tissue targeted during treatment. This ensures that the precise energy is delivered where it will be most effective.

What does Ultherapy do to collagen?

Collagen is a natural protein that gives skin its youthfulness by keeping it firmed and toned. As we age, our collagen loses its strength and its ability to stand up to the effects of gravity that pull the skin downward. Ultherapy delivers heat below the surface of the skin and stimulates the natural renewal of your existing collagen and the creation of new collagen. Over time, this results in a natural toning, tightening and actual lift of your the skin over time.
Think of it as an internal "Spanx" for your sagging skin.

Can Ultherapy replace a face lift?

There is no cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. So there is no recovery period. Ultherapy can give your sagging skin a “lift” but it is not a “face lift.”  It is a viable option for those not ready for a face lift  and it can help those wishing to preserve the effects of their cosmetic surgery.

Is Ultherapy safe?

Yes. Ultrasound energy has a proven track record, with over fifty years of safe use in the field of medicine. The FDA approved Ultherapy after extensive clinical studied demonstrated its' safety. To date, tens of thousands of treatments have been performed without any significant adverse events.

Who is a good candidate for Ultherapy?

A good candidate for Ultherapy is one whose skin feels loose or appears to sag a little. They may also have a lowered brow line or eyelids that droop. The neck and lower face are prime areas for treatment, Ultherapy is great for those with mild to moderate skin laxity.

What does the treatment feel like?

Some of our patient tell us that they sometimes feel a "zap" or pulse of ultrasound energy below the surface of the skin but it is temporary understand that it is a sign that the collagen-building process has been initiated.

We will be sure to consult with you prior to your treatment to make your experience as pleasant as possible. We can provide numbing cream to ensure that your experience is ideal. Patients typically leave comfortable and excited about the benefits to come!

How long does the treatment take?

A treatment takes 2 hours for the full face and the neck.  However, a partial face or neck treatment could take about 30 minutes. What our patients love the most is that there is absolutely NO DOWNTIME!

What kind of results will I see?

Most patients report seeing more toned, firmer skin with less sagging and fewer wrinkles over 2-3 months after treatment. Improvement can continue for up to six months following treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Many of our patients are satisfied after only one treatment.  However, additional treatments could result in even more improvement depending on how much laxity they have and how responsive their collagen rebuilding process is.

How long do results last?

Patients treated with Ultherapy still have fresh young collagen after a year’s time following the procedure, but skin continues to age. Yearly touch-up treatments can help keep pace with the aging process.

Are there any side effects?

You may have some slight redness which can last for an hour or so following your treatment.  A few patients have had slight swelling and/or some tingling or tenderness to touch. However, they report that these are mild and temporary.  Of course as with any medical procedure there is always the possibility for other even less common post-treatment effects.
